Product Information

We at jfaulkhats have a variety of materials that we use.  This includes certain materials ideal for Spring/Summer hats, and certain materials ideal for our Fall/Winter hats, and All-Weather materials that we use across the range of our seasonal collections
Spring Summer Material:
  1. Hemp  -  The hemp material is a natural straw and is designed for ventilation
  2. Horsehair  -  The horsehair is also designed for ventilation, but is a type of straw-like material that has a dressier look
  3. Milan Straw  - The Milan straw is a natural straw that is very dense and durable.  It is not as soft and flexible as other straw materials.
  4. Panama  -  Panama straw is a natural straw that is made in Equador.
  5. Paper/Cotton/Nylon - This material is made for all-weather conditions.
  6. Poly  -  This synthetic material comes in two forms of braided material.  One is a solid and the other is Vented Poly, which allows the hat to breathe for cooler wear. 
  7. Satin  -  Our satin hats are constructed out of satin ribbon lined with horsehair for durability.  The finished satin ribbon product is an all-weather material.
  8. Tagaline  -  This synthetic straw is soft, shiny and has a dressy look.
  9. Vented Poly  -  Vented Poly is a porous synthetic straw that has holes in it for ventilation and styling
Fall Winter Material
  1. Velour Felt  -  This material is made for comfort, versatility and style.  The long brim hats are offered in double-sided felt
  2. Beaver  -  The beaver material is made for the Fall, but is ideal for outdoors in really cold temperatures.
  3. Chenille  -  The chenille is a braided material that is good for the fall but works best for the really cold days.  This fabric is very flexible
  4. Paper/Cotton/Nylon - This material is made for all weather conditions and is used for this season as well.
  5. Wool Felt - The wool felt is a harder material, which works best for stiffness
  6. Satin    -       Our satin hats made out of satin ribbon lined with horsehair for durability.  The finished satin ribbon product is an all weather material.

  1. Paper/Cotton/Nylon - This mix of natural fiber and synthetic material is made for all-weather conditions.
  2. Satin - Our satin hats are made out of satin ribbon lined with horsehair for durability.  The finished satin ribbon product is an all-weather material.
